Event Overviews
This concert program embarks on a journey through the rich tapestry of flute and piano music, beginning with the Baroque elegance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Sonata in E Major, BWV 1035, and the emotional depth of Mozart’s Violin Sonata in E Minor, K. 304, in a flute transcription. Transitioning to contemporary works, the program features the mesmerizing minimalism of Philip Glass’s Love Divided By, the serene beauty of Ian Clarke’s Orange Dawn, and culminates with the bright, agile expressiveness of Patrick Nunn’s Sprite for solo piccolo. This diverse repertoire showcases the versatility of the flute and piano duo, weaving together technical mastery, emotional resonance, and modern innovation.
